Summer is here!!!

I woke up this morning and had no idea what I was going to do today...was I going to clean my house (nah!), was I going to run errands (possibly), was I going to sit around the house recovering from the night before (an option)...so as I was half asleep contemplating these ideas, I decided to get up and at least take a shower and then decide from there.

I took a nice long shower, then I put this new lotion on, which apparently will bring out the natural tone of a tan in several days, so look out! I sat down on my couch and started to watch TV, when my phone rang, "Girls just want to have fun...(ring tone)"

Me: Hi Bryant, whats up?
Bryant: Hey, are you awake yet?
Me: Yes, I just got out of the shower, whats happening?
Bryant: Do you want to go lunch?
Me: Sure, but I need to get ready first.
Bryant: OK see you in 45 minutes
Me: OK perfect...by the way have you seen the movie, Snakes on the Plane?
Bryant: Yeah terrible
Me: I KNOW!!! Its absolutely the worst! Lets make fun of it later!!

So I got up off the couch, and made my way over to get ready for lunch...Bryant came right on time and we headed out to a lunch spot, with no clue what to eat...we parked over by PB Bar and Grill and walked and walked for what seemed like days in the blistering hot sun...we then decided that Chipotle is what we felt like...we had a pleasant lunch and headed back on our hike back to the car, we then stumbled upon this little store, called "San Diego Scooter and Cycle Supply." We stopped for just a second to check out this weird, tiny box 2-seater scooter with 3 wheels...imagine a autotopia car from Disneyland. We thought it would be interesting to see how much it cost just to rent one for future reference...We walked into the store and asked the nice gentleman and he said "$30 for 1 hour right now and $75 until 7." Oh alright sir thanks, see ya!

We headed out to admire the beaut and said..."You know what??? lets just do it...we will rent it for an hour and split it!" We then filled out a whole bunch of paperwork and put on our adorable little helmets and headed out to see our new ride! I asked one of the dudes to take a picture and we hopped in the "Rocket Car" for our adventure around PB/Mission Beach...we hit the busy roads with all the beach-goers, bike cruisers, bar-hoppers, motorcycle riders, vacationers and locals and headed out to the main roads! IT WAS AMAZING!! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! Even though I thought I might die when we darted in front of traffic on the main blvd in PB, or when we turned a little too fast around a sharp corner, or when a car jetted out in front of us, or when we hit a pot-hole but it was so worth the $30! I cant wait to do that again!...Lets take a look at the pictures of our adventure!

We then headed back down the street to our original destination of the car and then decided to stop in to a bar and have a quick drink because it was "Happy Hour Now!"

Then made it to the car and headed out to Wal-Mart because I want a bike and Bryant insisted they had a ton! They didn't but I did get a nice tower fan!

It was such a great summer day and its not even summer!! I can't wait for summer!

It's all about perspective...

On a more serious note:

My besty girl, Shan Shan, uttered these infamous lines to me as I told her about my "perspective" about how things are going in my life; personally, professionally, emotionally...you name it!

I rambled on for about an hour, and she goes you know what I am going to say...its all about perspective and its true. Sometimes I need my friends to slap me back to reality and make me see the other side or a different "perspective" if you will.

Lately, I have been feeling in a slump or just plain not myself and I dont like it. Im afraid if I dont change this soon I am going to push people that I truly care about away by not being myself. So, today I am going to challenge myself to change perspectives and start working on myself!!

Im usually not this serious but sometimes you need a little serious mixed with the fun in life to gain new perspective.

Keyword of the week: PERSPECTIVE!

75 skills...

So today I got a link for a article someone found on the world wide web and I thought it was very interesting and I needed to share it with all of my readers.

It is "75 skills every man should master" according to a writer at Esquire magazine (Tom Chiarella.) Its actually quite funny and charming at the same time. Check it out below

http://www.esquire.com/features/essential-skills-0508

Some of my favorites that he wrote were:

1. "Give advice that matters in one sentence: I got run out of a job I liked once, and while it was happening, a guy stopped me in the hall. Smart guy, but prone to saying too much. I braced myself. I didn't want to hear it. I needed a white knight, and I knew it wasn't him. He just sighed and said: When nobody has your back, you gotta move your back. Then he walked away. Best advice I ever got. One sentence. "

14. "Chop down a tree. Know your escape path. When the tree starts to fall, use it."

19. "Approach a woman out of his league. Ever have a shoeshine from a guy you really admire? He works hard enough that he doesn't have to tell stupid jokes; he doesn't stare at your legs; he knows things you don't, but he doesn't talk about them every minute; he doesn't scrape or apologize for his status or his job or the way he is dressed; he does his job confidently and with a quiet relish. That stuff is wildly inviting. Act like that guy. "

73. "Caress a woman's neck. Back of your fingers, in a slow fan."

I think you will all find it very entertaining! I know I did!

Oh Mondays...

An old man once told me the following after I told him, how much I hate Mondays and how I wish it was Friday again...he said "Well just say to yourself that tomorrow is Friday." I told him that's not good because then it would just be Tuesday, he said, "no it wouldn't you tell yourself, well at least tomorrow is Friday!" Until it goes around and around until it is actually Friday...

Well this man has it wrong, why would I do that when I enjoy loathing Mondays so much. Today I woke up to the sweet sounds of construction workers throwing, what I can only imagine to be rocks into a giant blender and then jackhammering the ground, 3 feet away from my bedroom window...nothing could be better.

So waking up wasn't exactly the best but I woke up and took a shower and decided to wear my amazing boots that make me feel so good, cause how can you have a bad day with these boots??

Well you have to see them on...I love them!!

I went to work and had a typical day of complaints, people out "sick," people letting me know they might be "sick" tomorrow because well it is cinco de mayo (cough, cough), and of course actual work mixed with surfing the net.

I then started to head home and found myself driving somewhere because gosh darn't I felt like it....COSTCO!! Yes I did, I was at Costco when I got a call from a friend to go to Chili's with some peeps and forget that its Monday by having a margarita or 2...which I did and thoroughly enjoyed because of their deliciousness and their cheapness!

In closing it wasn't that bad for a Monday...Costco, Chili's and drinks with some friends, embarrassing those friends by just being me and doing my usual antics, dancing with the stars(love that show!!), Samantha Who right after(if you have not seen that show I highly recommend it! Its seriously hilarious!), and going to bed knowing that one day down and 4 to go until the weekend...

Damn you Grey's Anatomy!!!

I don't know how they do it, and when I say they, I mean the amazing creators and writers of Grey's Anatomy, but somehow I always start to tear up towards the end and it makes me start thinking about my life and assessing my decisions that I make and makes me want to go out and change things about myself!

How do they do that?

Gosh I love that show so much and I love that its finally back!!!
